Bubbling Spring
The very foundation of trust, health and flexibility is the Water element and here are two meridians in this element, the Bladder and the Kidney.
The Bladder meridian is the longest of all 14 pathways. It holds our stories and patterning from both nature and nurture, some might call this karma or dharma and it’s peak activity time is 3-5pm.
The Kidney meridian holds our vitality and spark and also fear and trauma. In self-development this is the meridian that can help you to trust in the process of life, and when balanced helps us be happy to make mistakes as they are a sign we are changing and expanding. The kidney meridians peak activity time is 5pm-7pm.
It is very important we keep our water levels up during both water meridian times otherwise we can feel like our energy is draining away from us.
So if you fancy more vitality and spark in your life? The Kidney meridian is where it is at!
This point on the foot in the photo is called 'bubbling spring' and is the start of the wonderful Kidney meridian, from the Water element, this important Chinese meridian point has to do with strengthening your chi (life force energy) and promotes longevity. The purpose of your kidney meridian is to keep you connected to your divine purpose.
When connecting to this Bubbling Spring point, through grounding, massage with oils or pressure you could experience a strong upward rushing energy that floods the body with a renewed sense of joy and purpose.
Bubbling Spring is a major wellspring point, is the energy gateway that revitalises the entire spectrum of your body, mind and spirit and supports your ability to manifest this essential nature in the world.
Quick exercise
Hold this point gently, rub around it lightly, roll the ankles, bathe the feet, massage the soles, walk barefoot, stand on grass, paddle in water.
Paying more attention to this area is a great way to sparkle up and bring more flow into our lives
The Bubbling Well is where we establish our root (or earth connection) and is this point is also a wonderful way to access the Earth Star Chakra.
Through the Bubbling Well, we connect with the earth’s energy which stabilises and energizes us. Qi bubbles upward from the bottom of our feet, through the legs, and into the lower Chakras.
When you place your weight into the Bubbling Well, the foot structure expands and stores energy. When you remove your weight the Bubbling Well rebounds which sends energy up into your legs. This is why the root is considered to be in the feet
So how do you know when your weight is in the “Bubbling Well”? When your weight is on your entire foot and you cannot pick up your toes or heels without shifting your weight, you are in the Bubbling Well!
Bubbling Spring it is the only acu-point on the sole of the foot, the lowest and most yin part of the body which is in continual contact with the yin energy of the earth. It can therefore be used as a portal through which we can visualise drawing upon the energy of the earth as a tree’s roots draw nourishment from the soil.
